The cluster Eco-innovative-CLEMS develops a cooperation in the field of science and technology with one of the most dezvotate provinces in the world, Hunan Province

The first collaboration of this type in Romania, in which it is desired that the science and technology to cooperate in the sphere of eco-innovation.

         Bistrita-Nasaud, 22 September 2016 Association CLEMS launches a protocol of cooperation with Hunan Province in the People's Republic of China. It is a first initiative of cooperation in this regard with the county of Bistriţa-Năsăud. The collaboration will bring the municipality Bistriţa-Năsăud a competitive advantage in the sustainable development and attracting of investors.

         The cooperation partnership between the Bistrita-Nasaud County Council and the Department of Science and Technology of Hunan Province of the People's Republic of China aims at cooperation in the fields of scientific research, technological innovation and the application of scientific and technological progress, with priority in high-tech industries, including the fields of water resources and environment, new energy and energy conservation, advanced equipment manufacturing, new materials, biotechnology and biomedical fields and information technology (IT) sector and facilitating scientific cooperation between companies, universities and research institutes of the two administrative units.

    The main goal is to establish an ASEMWater Joint Research Centre (EJRC) in Eastern Europe, implementing models and mechanisms focused on accelerating the establishment of the organisation as well as the water resources coordination network. Furthermore, the EJRC will be developed as a hub-coordination and science and technology hub in Eastern Europe, specialising in: talent identification, funding/capital, technology, policy and information services.

       The conference launching the collaboration in science and technology between Bistrita-Nasaud County and Hunan Province was moderated by the president of the Eco-innovative Cluster for a Sustainable Environment Grigore Vlad and the president of UGIR Gavril Mureșan. The event took place in the municipality of Bistrita-Nasaud, at the Coroana de Aur Hotel.

        The Vice President of the County Council, Ioan Țintean, welcomed the guests from China and gave a presentation on the cooperation relations between Bistrița-Năsăud County and the Chinese side.

         ASEM Association is a Chinese collaborative partnership-focused organization founded under the ASEM mechanism in China, specializing in science and technology cooperation. It provides a scientific and technological cooperation platform for all ASEM members who are interested in water resources management issues.

        At the partnership launch conference were present representatives of Aquabis, APM, ADI Apă-Canal, UBB Cluj-Napoca, Technical University of Cluj, Chamber of Commerce, including Ion Șandru, Sever Roman, Gavril Mureșan, Vasile Bar, but also director of North-West RDA, Sanda Cătană.

     On this occasion, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with ASEM Asia-Europe Meeting (Research and Development Centre for Water Resources), which will set up an Eastern European branch of the Development Centre in Bistrita.

         The ECO-Innovation Cluster for SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENT consists of businesses, universities, research institutes, public authorities and other catalyst organizations.

         Founded in February 2016, CLEMS is focused on identifying the strengths and opportunities of the sector, to connect the different actors and to carry out collaborative projects in the field of research-development-innovation, with the declared aim of supporting the growth of the competitiveness of the cluster, as well as of each individual member, both on the national and international market. By the end of 2020, CLEMS expects to become one of the most credible providers in Central and Eastern Europe of eco-innovative services and products, as well as organisational support systems, enabling its members to be competitive on national and international markets. Our challenge is to carry out services and activities aimed at facilitating, promoting and supporting the growth of the cluster members' competitiveness, as well as national and international economic competitiveness, by developing a cooperation framework based on the promotion of eco-innovation and eco-efficient technological development, aimed at creating and ensuring a sustainable environment.
